This guide supports FSL educators and researchers in developing research- and field-inspired lesson plans that connect theory to classroom practice. It offers clear steps for designing engaging, inclusive, and curriculum-aligned lessons while incorporating relevant research insights. The guide includes templates, practical examples, and tips for accessibility, licensing, and dissemination. With guidance on integrating AI tools for inspiration and refining content, it empowers users to share high-quality plans that are informative, adaptable, and collaborative—enhancing teaching and learning in the FSL context.
The final versions of these resources reflect input from a series of focus groups and surveys held in 2023 and 2024. We would like to thank Daniel Capel Kos A Ebong, Jennifer Ealey, Sandra Ferris, and Thecle Sandrine Biloa Essomba for their valuable contributions to the lesson plan guide. This project was funded by the Ontario Ministry of Education and Heritage Canada, through the Camerise project.
