The website brings together resources for teaching and learning French as a second language (FSL) and is designed and organized around three conceptual axes for self-directed learning. It includes 311 resources organized in 3 distinctive collections (thematic, grammatical and the oral communication one) that are presented in clear pedagogical sequences aimed at guiding learner's progress from the reading to the oral comprehension.

This guide addresses strategies to support students with special needs as they navigate online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Recommendations are made to help students, families, general education teachers, special education teachers, administrators, and school boards navigate the new challenges.

This tip sheet provides strategies for educators on how to support students with special needs during online instruction. Tier 1 addresses how to encourage engagement, representation, and effective structuring of time/activities. Tiers 2 and 3 divide instructional tips into synchronous and asynchronous models of teaching. Each of these two sections also provides behavioural, communicational, intellectual, physical, and multiple strategies that encourage inclusive practices.

This resource highlights the challenges that teachers may face when teaching French as a second language in Ontario. Through the use of common scenarios, teachers are provided with strategies they can use to both "survive" and "thrive". English This brochure offers two different transcripts of Sojourner Truth’s “Ain’t I a Woman” speech, translated from English to French. The first is by a white woman (Frances Dana Gage) who embellished her transcript of the speech with a southern-style American dialect. Gage was the organizer of the Women’s Rights convention where Sojourner spoke. The transcript of the second speech was reported by Marcus Robinson in the Anti-Slavery Bugle newspaper. Robinson was a Black man who worked with Sojourner Truth.

The purpose of this Guide is to provide support to School Board FSL Consultants interested in planning pre-recorded, interactive cultural experiences for their schools. These experiences are intended to build intercultural awareness and appreciation among FSL students while building proficiency in the language.
