Francais Discours prononcé en 1851,à la Women's Convention de Akron, Ohio, USA. English This brochure offers two different transcripts of Sojourner Truth’s “Ain’t I a Woman” speech, translated from English to French. The first is by a white woman (Frances Dana Gage) who embellished her transcript of the speech with a southern-style American dialect. Gage was the organizer of the Women’s Rights convention where Sojourner spoke. The transcript of the second speech was reported by Marcus Robinson in the Anti-Slavery Bugle newspaper. Robinson was a Black man who worked with Sojourner Truth.

Two graduate students from Stanford University highlight three areas of research most relevant to school administrators, policy makers and parents in order to provide answers to frequently asked questions about the positive impact of second language learning. In this age of accountability in education, policymakers and administrators, as well as parents, are increasingly demanding to know what research studies show regarding the benefits of language learning.

Four activities/exercises which encourage students to learn basic vocabulary associated with different past times/hobbies (cycling, running, swimming, chess, music, reading..). Allows students to read and listen to the instructions for each activity in French. An amazing podcast of particular interest to FSL teachers and other FSL stakeholders. The author redefines leadership in a way that opens new doors. I particularly like the concept of Community Centered Leadership. Taken in a FSL context and through a hub like Camerise these ideas can help us advocate for social justice in FSL in Canada.

Fantastic collection of stories for use by teachers. The stories are available in English, French and many other languages and it's easy to switch from one language to another. You can also have the story read aloud in many languages. A great way to compare languages. Note that there are collections of African and Indigenous stories.
